What do you get (besides a paycheck) from working in insurance?

Just curious to see what our members get out of their job.

(Don't tell us which company you work for)

oh i see....our agent offers to pay for health insurance up to a max amount each month - no 401k, but he does open a Roth IRA for us, and also gives us life policies paid by him.

we don't get much of anything. after working for our agent for 3 years he puts a little bit of $$ in a mutual acct. no ins of any sort paid by him. we get a Christmas lunch and a check at Christmas for $150 and a $100 check for our birthday. that is about it. he doesn't even acknowledge admin asst day.........but he is a good guy........

We have a really good agent, his agency is small but he still gives us a 200.00 bonus at Christmas and matches 3% of our salaries in a mutual fund, and health insurance, high ded. but at least its something.

I have a wonderful agent. I actually get a work vehicle....he pays for health insurance, he puts in $$ for retirement (not included in my salary). I LOVE MY JOB/AGENT. I have worked for 9 yrs for him and I look forward to many more each day that goes by. We also give back to him though in little ways.  We get Christmas bonuses, and $$ on b-days. Not all employees get this since they haven't been there as long but he's a wonderful guy and a great mentor and helps us all in different ways. :)
