Good morning everyone! I just wanted to make everyone aware of the changes that are coming to the UltimateStaff site.

Our operating costs have been a concern for the past 6 months or so, not just the hosting, but the money that it takes to put on auctions and contests, etc. We have made the decision to change the UltimateStaff site from its current state to a more self-sufficient website, with the main focus on the forums.

We are not closing UltimateStaff, but we will no longer have daily trivia, surveys, points, or auctions. This transition will be occuring over the next few weeks. We haven't set an exact timeline yet. We appreciate each and every one of you and the participation we've seen with our active members, but we have to change the way things are done.

So, what's left for our members? Our community forums! If you were just a member of our site to get the freebies and auction prizes, then you will probably be disappointed, but I encourage you to participate in our forums. It's a great place to blow off some steam, ask questions related to insurance, and to build up friendships with other insurance professionals.

This has been such an amazing four years with UltimateStaff for me personally. I have gotten to know some of you and have heard your stories and the way you care for your customers. I have seen how it isn't easy to be in the insurance industry in days like these, where everyone is suspicious that all you want is their money. And I have seen that the real heart of the industry is not the big name companies, nor the agents who wine and dine, but the employees like you who personally are involved with people's lives every day.

You make a difference in your customers' lives! You are there when they are at their wit's end in important decisions. You are there when their spouse passes away and they are left with the reality of life alone. You are there when an accident claims the only way they can get to work and make a living. You are there when they just need someone to chat with. I am so inspired by all of you who have created a bond with your customers and your co-workers.

I hope that the forums will just explode with activity and that you can claim this community as your own and run with it. There will be some changes here and there before our site changes completely, so keep your eyes peeled.

Thank you for all of your support and I really look forward to how this big change for UltimateStaff can strengthen the forums and grow its membership.

With love (and I mean it!)

Jennifer Toney

Are we still able to order the UltimateStaff t-shirts with our points?

Also, this site has been a lot of fun!  I just hope that the message board can stay open for all of us to continue to discuss and share stories!!

Sorry, April. We won't be able to do that anymore.

The message board/forums will remain up for as long as anyone uses them! So, still spread the word to your co-workers and colleagues.

What sad news :(

I am glad that the forum will remain.  I haven't been able to win anything at the auction in a while anyway...

i hope we will all stick together and continue our friendships and conversations on the forum.  It truly has been a great way to blow off steam and share knowledgeable information with each other.  Its fun @ work!

The site is down this morning, but not sure if it's because of the changes we're going through or if the server is just down.

Anyway...we'll still have the same web address (http://www.ultimatestaff.net), but there may be a few days when the site is down. Wasn't supposed to happen until next week or so. :?

I know it does, gar...it's just the reality of it all... :(

Thanks for being such a huge supporter of the forums, and I am confident that things will pick up, whether it's with our current membership or new ones.

Since we don't have trivia or auctions any more, the numbers are around 15-20 people a day. :(

* sigh *

I heard that State Farm is trying their hand at an internal forum/messageboard, but I don't know if staff is really using it.

not as often as i did before.  No need to recieve points anymore, so i don't go on there.  But i log onto the forum every day.  seems like no one is logging on to the forum anymore - i wish we could keep everyone active on this site.  it breaks up the monotny of my work day here at the office to be able to talk and discuss things with everyone on this site.

I haven't heard that about State Farm.

If we could all communicate easier on Ultimatestaff, i would log on more often - thats why I like the Forum so much better.  I love the communication with everyone on this site.  but seems like just aren't logging on anymore....Nothing is different about the forum, other than we can't get points - but its still fun to have the discussions...

I know, I am hoping that people still log onto the forums. I will send out a reminder email soon to those who have posted on our forums. Just to let them know this is here.
