I know...me too! We pulled front run which is a week behind of course like most of State Farm things...BUT...we had 81 so far and we hope to hit 100 apps!! my boss is FINALLY off our backs. December was the WORST!

I was just making sure everyone was still alive! I had some free time and looking on here and not alot of people got on today.

Sooo...keep up the good work! COngrats on a great January...usually this is our slowest time so being busy is good! your boss will be happy!

Hi everyone! I work for State Farm too! We're currently calling everyone again to schedule IFR's and that is where our life apps are coming from. Just having the opportunity to sit down with clients and asking them who has their life insurance and engaging them in that conversation is usually enough. So many people have life thru work so they just don't think about it not being enough, or that it shouldn't be their only plan for life. We're writing alot of life already. We're at about 30 apps so far! We're also  marketing raw new households right now and we're so competitive on auto and homeowners that we're pretty much getting the new business that we're quoting. Once we write a new household, we tell them that we will call to schedule a meeting to go over their newly issued policies to ensure that everything is the way they want it. In that meeting in about 30 days, We give them a small gift basket we made full of little SF goodies to thank them for bringing their insurance/BANK business to SF and trusting us to be their SF Agency,  then we go thru all their other possible needs, triangle of protection, ect. We've gotten other life apps in those appointments too. Plus it just really creates a great base for our new relationship with the new clients. Just a few of our strategies, I'm sure it's probably not new stuff to all you other SF people! I love this job, I have so much fun with the my coworkers and clients, it's fun to talk about it here too! I was in Human Services for years before I got into insurance, I've been with SF 6 years now and I'm still having a blast! :)

Hey Lori thanks for your advice. We have been doing IFR's off and on and not gaining much from them.  The agent markets alot, we get packets with peps numbers and I have been making a point to call them and offer an auto quote and then go from there.

But what do you do when you try hard and get nothing???  I guess that is the story of life..............

The girl my our office that sales life gets new blood from state to state transfers, new business that i send her way from the auto side, IFR apointments, Steer Clear apointments - and she is very persistant.  she stays on top of her leads until she gets a definate NO or until they finally come in and do it.  Our agent also buys internet leads, and she has gotten some from that as well....

What is the name of the company that your agent buys leads from, if you don't mind me asking?

a company called Hometown Quotes.  They are a good source for auto and homeowner leads too.

well hello ladies!! i've had one crazy few weeks sorry to not get on here. We tried HOMETOWN quotes too. Also INSURE ME is a good source as well. They are kind of expensive but you can put filters on there and it's worth the money if you get the sale. You just have to be committed and not give up after 3 or 4 that don't qualify.  Both are good companies though i believe.

sooo...how is everyone doing??

March Madness has been slow for us but I am solely P&C so our financial sales representative has been running hard but this is a different promo with having to have PAID life apps! I do throw a life app out there with every P&C that comes through.
