This is not a funny that happened to me but happened to an insured. She works for an optometrist. She had this patient come in and he was just cutting up and talking and laughing with her and she kept thinking in her head..........'who is this man' and the patient saw it in her eyes even though she was laughing and cutting up too. He said 'you have no idea who i am do you?' and she was so embarrassed she said I am sorry I just can't think of your name. All the while she kept trying to glance at his chart and never could get a good look at the name. She finally caught a glance and said 'OH MY GOSH, I JUST DIDN"T RECOGNIZE YOU WITH YOUR CLOTHES ON!!!' and after it was said the entire waiting lobby looked up at her and they all just cracked up. She was so embarrassed. She said it just all came out before she could think about how it was coming out. The reason she said that.....he is a police man and he always comes in uniform. Well, they were there for the kids' appts and she had never seen him in his 'civilian clothes'. What a play on words!!!!
