I just completed a 10 day body detox! I feel great! I lost a few pounds so i also look better as well as feel better. i feel a lot healthier inside and i feel more energetic than before. i think i have gotten over my addiction of caffein and diet coke! i have drank nothing but water and 100% real fruit and vegetable juice the last 10 days.
it was easier to do than i had imagined. i would suggest anyone to do this.

| I would love to break my Diet Coke addiction but I don't think I have the will power to do it.

Will power? what is that? LOL
it's so hard for me to give up the pastas and breads too...my huge weakness.
I drink mainly water anyways and juices and tea with artifical sweetner, but it's hard to give up anything you're so used to. I wish my only bad addiction was diet coke it's much less fatening than all the white stuff I eat! :o)

I went to a wellness company here in town called Trinity wellness company. They gave me the 10 day plan. You start by eating only fruits and veggies the first 2 days and taking detox pills that assist in cleansing your body along with supplement pills that give your body the daily nutrients it needs. Days 3-5 you do not eat. you continue to take the detox pills and supplements and you drink a 32 oz mixture of lemon juice, maple syrup and water twice a day for 3 days. when not drinking the mixture you drink distilled water atleast two 32 oz bottles a day for 3 days. days 6-10 you begin eating again. day 6 & 7 you only eat fruit and veggies and fruit or veggie juice along with distilled water. day 7-10 you can start eating meat like fish and poultry once a day. days 6-7 you are still taking the detox pills and the supplements. I lost 7 pounds. i look a lot better. i feel better internally and i have more energy. i am using the restroom more regularly too. i don't feel tired all the time like i did before either. it has made a difference in my daily life for sure! i have started eating better too.

Diet Coke! I should invest in this stoke, I feel like I should own the company. I know this stuff is bad for me, but man I love it. I can give up the Candy, Donuts, Regular pasta, ( I now eat Whole Wheat Pasta), Cake, icecream etc, but I have to have my Diet Coke.

I was in a 14 week study with Baylor University and Curves. I had previously been eating a high carb diet and they put me on a high protein low fat diet for 9 weeks. Then a low fat high carb diet for 4 weeks. Plus I had to go to Curves 3 times per week. I lost 10 lbs and gained 6 lbs in muscle.
I felt great! I've kept the weight off but have lost all the muscle because I haven't kept up with the diet or the 3 times per week Curves visits either. It's hard to make yourself eat food you don't crave! I had a hard time eating the quantity of food on the diet while I was on it. It's hard to understand how you can eat twice as much quantity as you did before the study and lose weight and gain muscle. But it did prove to me that 1) my metabolism had shut down and this study helped give it a boost, 2) You have to eat right AND excercise to lose weight.
For years I could diet and lose or not diet and excercise and lose. Now, in my 40's I have to do both. I need to get my mind back in the right frame of mind to lose another 10lbs with Curves. I can still go for free since my husband works at Baylor, but I need to go back on the diet. Another issue is that sleep seems to be more important to me than planning and preparing my daily food allowances. Need to change that too!
