Black Bean, Corn and Turkey Chili

This is really tasty. It's not your typical chili.

1 TBS oil
1 lb ground turkey
1 large onion, chopped
2 TBS chili powder
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp dried, crushed oregano leaves
1/2 tsp. black pepper
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1 3/4 c. chicken broth
1 c. salsa
1 TBS sugar
1 can black beans, rinsed and drained
1 can corn, drained

1. Heat oil over medium high heat. Add turkey meat, onion, chili powder, cumin, black pepper, and garlic powder. Cook until turkey is well browned, stirring frequently to break the meat up.

2. Stir in the chicken broth, salsa, sugar, beans and corn. Heat to a boil, reduce heat to low.

3. Cover and cook for 30 minutes. Stir occasionally.

Love to serve this with Fritos!

CHILI:

1 lb. hamburger

2 cans tomato sauce (use less if you want it thicker)

1 can rotel

1 can ranch style beans (I use the ones w/onions)

1 can chili beans

Chopped onion

1 packet of chili seasoning mix

Chili powder (to taste - approx. 1-2 tsp)

Brown hamburger w/onions & drain. Add remaining ingredients & simmer or cook in crock pot.
